I love to travel. I enjoy people watching in the airport. It’s cool to see people dressed for the different places they are going. Someone is in shorts as they board a plane to Florida, while another is wearing something more substantial for a cooler climate. As you travel, you hear different languages being spoken and see people who don’t look like you. It’s all such a wonderful experience. However, there are times when you can travel a stone’s throw away, and enjoy a place that makes you smile. For my husband and I, that place is Nashville, IN; Brown County. It is pleasant, quaint and has quite fantastic food. We’ve got our favorite spots to eat. There’s Miller’s Ice Cream. You have to try persimmon pudding with vanilla ice cream. Then there’s The Trolley. There it’s either a sloppy joe or pulled pork sandwich with potato salad, baked beans, chips and a pickle. Don’t forget a cup of sweet tea. OMG!!!! Then there’s the Artist Colony Inn. So much there is super tasty. I usually go with the fried catfish sandwich with sun fries (sweet potato fries). Yumminess to the max. Brown County is a lovely destination for visitors. People come from miles around to enjoy a little town with lots to eat and items to buy. I took some pictures our last time them. I was quite proud of them because I had just gotten my camera and had not a clue what I was doing. I still don’t
but I’m getting better.

Thanks Joii, Israel and I will have to try some of these places, especially the Artist Colony Inn. Fried catfish sounds really good right now.

I love reading about fun day trips – because I love taking them! Yours sounds like a lot of fun. I’m still wondering what persimmon ice cream tastes like.
Thanks for participating in the Traveler’s Show & Tell blog carnival over at Mental Mosaic: Even Home is a Travel Destination. I hope to see you there again.
